For my project, I decided to do a painting using only makeup products. My goal with this project was to efficiently use all of the makeup products I needed in order to create a painting that looked good. Personally, I think I achieved this goal and I believe that my painting turned out really good. This experience was very fun and it was a new way to explore my options and challenge myself. I was going to buy paint and brushes, but instead I said to myself, “how can I accomplish what I want using the tools I already have?” With that said I got together some eye shadow, eyeliner, makeup brushes, paper, and some water. When I think about what this project meant to me, I think that it was a way for me to use the minimal creative ability that I have and incorporate things that I love, in this instance makeup. I also used a quote that I always go back to in order to keep myself going in the path I want to pursue. Overall, I am very proud of myself and how my painting turned out. I think that being motivated and interested in the art that you create makes the final outcome better than expected.
